1st School Mass was a SUCCESS!!

Good Morning! Well, the kids just headed out to a well deserved recess. This morning we had our 1st school Mass for the year. Other than a few wiggles, the kids were OUTSTANDING! After Mass, we stayed for a few minutes to practice a little Mass etiquette. When we came back from Mass a lot of the kids were talking about the homily and the kind of animal we need to be like this school year!

In June, the children were told not to be a WARTHOG. Although Pumbaa is quite cute, Father told us that warthogs usually find themselves in some sort of trouble!

This year, the children are to be like SALMON! As Father mentioned, although they may be slimy and stinky, they are very courageous and strong as they fight their way upstream!

We talked about this during recess and there were lots of giggles about being stinky and slimy. However, they are all going to work hard to be my "little school of salmon!" It also showed me they were paying attention during the homily...YAY! :)

So, as you go to Mass each weekend help me reinforce proper Mass etiquette and respect for Jesus!
